The Price of Being Rich has Gotten Higher
On the 20th of September the Forbes 400 was released. If you are not familiar with the 400 it is the list of the top 400 richest Americans. 2007 seen a rise of $300 million when compared to 2006. To be considered number 400 on this prestige list your networth must be a minimum of $1.3 billion.
This year the 400 list saw an addition of 45 new members who ranged from oilman Harold Hamm to the Ultimate Fighting Championship brother duo of Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta. The youngest on this list is John Arnold (33 yrs. old with a $1.5 billion networth) who runs Centaurus Energy while the oldest member is 98 year old John Simplot who is known as the potato king and worth $3.6 billion.
A couple of the greats known worldwide who fell from this list of the elite was Howard Schultz (Starbucks Coffee) and Campbell Soup heir Dorrance Hill Hamilton.
